Seefeld has hosted the olympic winter games three times already for a reason – and in 2019 it will host the world championships. 279 kilometers of perfectly prepared ski trails, 154.3 kilometers of classical and 124.7 kilometers of skating trails are connecting all 5 municipalities of the Olympiaregion. Optimum conditions for cross-country skiing.
Beginners, advanced skiers and pros come to Seefeld for cross-country skiing. It is not surprising, as the Olympiaregion has hosted the nordic disciplines of the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976, as well as in 2012 for the youth winter games and has always provided perfect conditions, which is why it is considered the Mekka of cross-country skiing. Each year international skiing stars prepare for their season which might not only be due to Seefelds strategic position, but also because of Tyrol’s famous hospitality. Additionally the climate is just perfect and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking.
