Cross-country skiing under the best conditions

Perfect cross-country trails in the Region Seefeld – Tirols Hochplateu

It is not for nothing that Seefeld has been the venue of the Winter Olympics many times. 279 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails – 154.3 kilometres of classic and 124.7 kilometres of skating trails – stretch through the five towns of the region. This is cross-country skiing under the best conditions.

Beginners as well as advanced and professional skiers come to Seefeld for cross-country skiing. This is not surprising, as the region, which was the venue for the Nordic competitions at the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics, as well as the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, offers perfect conditions and is considered a true cross-country mecca, not only in insider circles. Every year, international greats prepare for their competitions in the Tyrolean Alpine region, which is of course due to the very good location, but certainly also to the warm Tyrolean hospitality. In addition, there are ideal climatic conditions and you can enjoy the unique nature.

Skating or classic?

You can decide for yourself, because we have perfectly groomed trails for both styles – against a breathtaking mountain backdrop.

And for those who are looking for something special, we also have a great offer: why not ski along our night trails by moonlight and make your tracks through the snow. The well-lit trail is open daily until 8 pm.

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts with dogs can use the dog trail together. You and your four-legged friend have 2.5 kilometres at your disposal, where your faithful companion can frolic in the snow and indulge his urge to move.

The A12 – Scharnitz, is one of the longest cross-country trails in the region. The sunny trail is also ideal for beginners and runs almost exclusively on open meadows. If you would like to take a short break, there is a refreshment stop along the route where you can enjoy a bite to eat and catch your breath.

One of the newest and most difficult trails starts at the Lottenseehütte and leads across clearings, wooded areas and sunny plateaus. The 3.4-kilometre loop is for experienced cross-country skiers and rewards with breathtaking nature.

For all athletes who want to train hard here in Seefeld, there has been one of the most modern biathlon facilities in Europe since 2010.
