Tobogganing and sledging in Seefeld
On two skids through the powder snow
Fast-paced races, happy children’s laughter and lots of snow. Everyone becomes a child again when tobogganing. Winter fun for the whole family.
Sledges have been used as a means of transport for thousands of years. In early times, it was used to transport various goods in Scandinavia, for example, as well as in the Alps and in the Erzgebirge mountains. Perhaps that is why it is still so popular in our region, as people were already transported on it back then. In the course of time, the Alpine sledge evolved into the toboggan for our recreational pleasure.
Fast-paced fun made of ash or beech
This is what the vehicle is usually made of. To glide even faster through the snow, the runners are shod with iron. Once the toboggan is ready, up to two people can take a seat on it and set off towards the valley at a good pace.
Children's eyes will light up
But also the eyes of adults who feel reminded of their childhood. In our Seefeld Region – Tyrol’s High Plateau you can use numerous natural toboggan runs for this pleasure. In the evening, some toboggan runs are even illuminated. Then you don’t have to stop the fun even at a late hour. Of course, you can rent toboggans and sledges on site.
